Rover 25 / MG ZR Horn Assembly - YEB000150 / YEB101300
In stock.
This is the Horn Assembly for all single-horn Rover 25 and MG ZR models - fitted to cars from 2001 onwards.
Most aftermarket replacements require cutting of the vehicle's cables to fit - thankfully this item doesn't as it uses the correct OE connector!
Simply plug and play.
Fitting is simple - the horn is located behind the bumper on the left-hand side (passenger side on UK vehicles).
There's no need to remove the bumper to fit a replacement; you can reach up between the bumper and wheel arch liner for access.
This item is the original 'low note' frequency (410Hz) for single-horn vehicles. Earlier cars with two horns used this in tandem with a 'high note' 510Hz item - we do also have these available if needed. Please email sales@dmgrs.co.uk to order if required.
Please note that if you have a Mk1.5 or Mk2 vehicle (using the round Pektron keyfob) the cause of the horn not functioning is often a faulty BCU rather than the horn itself - we recommend testing this first to avoid unnecessary replacement of this item.
To test, use a multi-meter to check 12v is present on the horn power connector when the horn button is pressed - if there's no power to the unit when doing this, you likely have a faulty BCU relay or the clock spring (connecting the steering wheel buttons to the rest of the car) has failed.
