Rover 25 / MG ZR Saab Heater Valve - PEI000020

This is the 'Saab Valve' for the Rover 25 / MG ZR using the K Series engine - these were fitted from around 2003 onwards. 
When they fail, you'll find your heaters are hot when engine coolant is flowing at higher speeds (such as on a motorway etc) but at idle / lower speeds the heat output will drop to near-zero. 

A failing thermostat will also cause similar symptoms - if your temperature gauge is sat lower than around the half-way mark we would recommend changing the thermostat first (part number PEL10016). 

This part is located around the rear of the engine, and is quite simple to change requiring only basic tools.
