This is the Rear Coolant Elbow Outlet / Housing for the MG6 1.8T models - it fits around the back of the engine and into the engine block, where the thermostat would be on an MG Rover-era K Series engine. 

These often get brittle and split with age - and until now were quite difficult to find. Thankfully we have them in stock at a great price!
